    Biographical history

    William Reeve Ramsay (1872-1973), a pediatrician, was born in Nassagaweya Township, Halton Region, Ontario to James Ramsey (1836-1917) and Mary Scott (1838-1917). William moved to St. Paul, Minnesota in the early 1890s, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He married Ruth Alida Lusk (1878-1959) in 1902.

    Collection contains correspondence, articles, clippings, and a photograph relating to William Reeve Ramsay (1872-1973), a Minnesota pediatrician who was born in Nassagaweya Township, Halton Region, Ontario. “The Selkirk Settlement and the Settlers: A Concise History of the Red River Country From its Discovery, Including Information Extracted From Original Documents Lately Discovered, and Notes Obtained From Selkirk Settlement Colonists,” written by Walter Reeve Ramsey and published in 1952, is also included.
