Administrative history
The Brown Boggs Foundry and Machine Company, also known as Brown, Boggs Co., Ltd., was established in Hamilton, Ontario in 1890 when John Moorty Brown, Nathan Glass Boggs, James Anderson, and William E. Blandford purchased the S.J. Moore & Co., which had made tinners and canners tools and machinery since 1872. Brown Boggs manufactured shears, press brakes, hand brakes, roll formers, hand operated tin-smithing tools, and presses. The company moved to Ancaster and 1996 and then to Toronto in 2006.
