The fonds include documents relating to James Smibert (1776-1863), a weaver from Peebles, Scotland who immigrated to London, Canada West, around 1818. The fonds includes family correspondence, transcripts, a bibliography and obituary, as well as a photocopy of Smibert's gravestone.
