The collection consists of several certificates awarded to Smith Griffin, 1931-1938; art, writing, and scrapbook entries of Smith Griffin, 1937, undated. Photographs (mounted) by R.S. Duncan are the first photo of a rural school fair plot (1909) and a rural school fair plot (1912); also first rural school fair held in Renfrew (1914), school fair in Waterloo County group photo (n.d.), Canadian Red Cross Society truck which was donated by children of rural school fairs in Ontario in 1915 with proceeds from the sale of potatoes grown by them for this purpose (2 copies - 1 larger mounted and 1 smaller photograph);Panoramic photograph of Number Four & Half School Fair, 1923 (with "Wellington County, 9 schools Guelph Twp. Fonds contains the farm diary of Robert Russell, dated 1876-1900, letters from and to the Russell Family, as well as photographs and genealogical records and research notes pertaining to the Russell Family.
The collection contains four typescript letter books with some financial statements: 1918-1921, 1927-1928, 1928-1929, and 1940-1951. File includes ranch and construction plans by W. H. C. Ruthven, 1921, handwritten and typescript notes, and extracts from letter and financial books.

School registers for Eden Grove S.S. No. 7, price lists and blank order forms of various companies, dealers and stores, and local post office information is also included.
