The collection contains journals, correspondence, notebooks, photographs, biographical information, and certificates created by and belonging to Dr. Charles Ambrose Zavitz (1863-1942), from his time as a student (1884-1888) and faculty member (1888-1927) at the Ontario Agricultural College. Materials include: two second year prize books from 1886 for Mathematics and Book Keeping ("Switzerland: It’s Mountains and Valleys" by Woldemar Raden and “Agriculture and Live Stock” (Webster's Dictionary, 1885); copies of "Short Notes on Veterinary Medicine for the Use of Students at the O.A.C." by J. Hugo Reed, "What the Rocks Reveal, or Geology Simplified" by James Hoyes Panton (1847-1898), and "The Book of Discipline of the Religious Society of Friends" (1929); a Robertson Associate Award medal from 1933; World's Grain Exhibition and Conference, Regina pin, from 1933; three handwritten notebooks of agronomic recorded experiments; a copy of the 7th Annual Report of the Ontario School of Agriculture and Experimental Farm, 1881; a coloured copy print of "A Bird's Eye View of the Ontario Agricultural College and Experimental Farm"; and meeting minutes of the Committee on Experiments of the Experimental Union, 1886-1891, with names and addresses of experimenters.

Copies of Zavitz’s book “Spiritual Life” (1932), Laura Quirk’s “Dr. Charles Ambrose Zavitz: Agriculturalist, Experimentalist, Professor and Friend” (2004), and “The History of North Middlesex District Women's Institutes: Golden Anniversary, 1903-1953” (1953), are also included. Materials include references to the Society of Friends (Quakers), James W. Robertson (1857-1930), the Canadian Seed Growers’ Association, and the World’s Grain Exhibition and Conference.

Baker; films and videotapes; and materials relating to veterinary conferences and professional associations.

The Campbell family papers contains a copy book depicting the genealogy of the House of Glenorchy, tracing the Lairdship of Glenorchy from the first laird, Sir Colin Campbell (1132-1180), to the ninth laird, Sir Robert Campbell (1640-1648?). The copy book, in fine hand, is in leather binding with raised bands on spine and faded inscription on cover.
