The Frances McLeod Blue fonds contains the personal work of landscape architect Frances McLeod Blue (1914-1992), including her photographs, glass slides, watercolours, school projects, and pencil, pen, and ink drawings of flowers, gardens, trees, beaches, buildings, sculptures, and scenery in Italy, Jamaica, France, Rochester, Massachusetts, and Toronto. Three gardening books from Frances McLeod Blue’s personal collection, including The Garden Month by Month (1907) by Mabel Cabot Sedgewick; English Gardens (1925) by H. Avray Tipping; and Garden Ornament (1927) by Gertrude Jekyll and Christopher Hussey, as well as Blue’s paper on the history of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects, written in 1970, a photograph of the annual dinner of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects and Town Planners in Niagara Falls from 1956, as well as a biographical article on Blue in "Landscape Architectural Review", December 1989, are also included.
