The collection contains a journal and photographs related to Adam McLeish, who was appointed as Provost of Greenock, Scotland on November 28, 1837. The journal describes two trips taken by McLeish, including from Glasgow to London in 1816, where he describes visiting landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral (16 May), Somerset House (22 May), British Museum (27 May), Covent Garden Market (28 May), and his return home to Glasgow. The latter half of the journal describes a trip from Glasgow to Denmark in 1820. Daguerreotypes and ambrotypes of various family members are also included.

Microfilm includes Women's Institute scrapbooks containing articles on Adelaide Hoodless Homestead, Homestead records (1937-1977). Macdonald Institute scrapbooks contain articles on Adelaide Hoodless, Hoodless Family papers, and Women's Institute (Hamilton area). Includes copy of "Ontario Women's Institute Story" (75th anniversary) autographed by Helen M. McKercher. Other copies of photographs of wedding of Edna Hoodless and H.M. Bostwick (1908), study and drawing room at Eastcourt (1902) mounted on cardboard in oversize file.
