Landscape architecture drawings by Carl Arvid Borgstrom, one of the nine founding members of the Canadian Society of Landscape Architects. Projects include: the winning competition entry for the Northeastern Entrance to the City of Hamilton, done for the Royal Botanical Gardens; the Mather Arch Park and Monument in Fort Erie, done for the Niagara Parkway Commission; a variety of institutional commissions such as the grounds of the Toronto East General Hospital; and numerous grand homes and rural estates commissioned by prominent Canadians. The 45 projects (approximately 100 drawings) represent the high point of Borgstrom's design career from roughly 1925 to 1945 The collection also includes one box of photographic prints that depict both completed and in-construction design work, as well as selected written material, letters, and biographical texts
