The fonds contains various entomological publications as well as correspondence, meeting minutes, and other material related to Professor A.W. Baker (OAC 1911), Department of Entomology and Zoology, Ontario Agricultural College. Materials related to the Ontario Conservation Council, the Guelph Conference on Conservation, and the OAC’11 40th Class Reunion (June 6, 1951), are also included.

The fonds consists of correspondence, addresses, booklets, newspaper clippings, photographs and family scrapbook chiefly relating to Adelaide Hoodless. Microfilm includes Women's Institute scrapbooks containing articles on Adelaide Hoodless Homestead, Homestead records (1937-1977). Macdonald Institute scrapbooks contain articles on Adelaide Hoodless, Hoodless Family papers, and Women's Institute (Hamilton area). Includes copy of "Ontario Women's Institute Story" (75th anniversary) autographed by Helen M. McKercher. Other copies of photographs of wedding of Edna Hoodless and H.M. Bostwick (1908), study and drawing room at Eastcourt (1902) mounted on cardboard in oversize file.

The collection contains a typescript, signed by E.S.A., Hamilton, 1942, based on letters written by various members of the Ambrose Family, including Alfred Ambrose (1829-1851), Sophia Ambrose (l832-l853), John Ambrose (1822-1857), Charles Ambrose (1821-1865), Edward Ambrose (1834-1865), William Ambrose (1828-1876), Robert Ambrose (1824-1908) and Walter Ambrose (1837-1923). Members of the Ambrose family lived variously in Kingston, Hamilton, Toronto, Woodstock, and Holland Landing, Ontario.
