The fonds contains various entomological publications as well as correspondence, meeting minutes, and other material related to Professor A.W. Baker (OAC 1911), Department of Entomology and Zoology, Ontario Agricultural College. Materials related to the Ontario Conservation Council, the Guelph Conference on Conservation, and the OAC’11 40th Class Reunion (June 6, 1951), are also included.

The fonds consists of correspondence, addresses, booklets, newspaper clippings, photographs and family scrapbook chiefly relating to Adelaide Hoodless. Microfilm includes Women's Institute scrapbooks containing articles on Adelaide Hoodless Homestead, Homestead records (1937-1977). Macdonald Institute scrapbooks contain articles on Adelaide Hoodless, Hoodless Family papers, and Women's Institute (Hamilton area). Includes copy of "Ontario Women's Institute Story" (75th anniversary) autographed by Helen M. McKercher. Other copies of photographs of wedding of Edna Hoodless and H.M. Bostwick (1908), study and drawing room at Eastcourt (1902) mounted on cardboard in oversize file.

The collection contains ink and pencil drawings, notes on Scotland, newspaper clippings, poems, and a daily meteorological and general journal kept by Alexander C. Geddes at Ravenswood, Township of Woolwich, County Halton, Gore District, Upper Canada.

The collection contains ship seating plans, certificates, insurance company records, receipts, marriage licenses, day journals, and letter books belonging to Alexander MacGregor (1830-1889) of Galt (Cambridge), Ontario.

Fonds includes journals, scrapbooks, account books, financial records, mortgages, legal documents, and correspondence related to the David Allan and Nathaniel Higinbotham families. Materials related to other Guelph-area individuals, including David Kennedy, are also included.

Cleaners advertisement; 1836 carriage bill for Mr. Thomas? Arkell Clifton & Co., West Smithfield, Oct.25/30 and silk painting of ship; notes on T. Heffernan written in 1869 and from the Guelph Herald, 1879; and a copied hand drawn map (original done by Charles Davy Brown) of part of the Township of Wilmot, Canada West, near Haysville, 1865.

The collection contains a typescript, signed by E.S.A., Hamilton, 1942, based on letters written by various members of the Ambrose Family, including Alfred Ambrose (1829-1851), Sophia Ambrose (l832-l853), John Ambrose (1822-1857), Charles Ambrose (1821-1865), Edward Ambrose (1834-1865), William Ambrose (1828-1876), Robert Ambrose (1824-1908) and Walter Ambrose (1837-1923). Members of the Ambrose family lived variously in Kingston, Hamilton, Toronto, Woodstock, and Holland Landing, Ontario.

The Armstrong family fonds contains digital records pertaining to the Armstrong family of Eramosa Township and the Armstrong Mill in Guelph township, Wellington County. Materials relate to the Armstrong Mill's business activities (1862-1891) and also post office information (1876-1913) that was recovered with some of the mill records.

The collection contains a photocopied typescript with some manuscript handwritten notes about the Beatty family of Fergus, compiled by W. McDait.
