        History

Founded in 1976, Theatre On The Move toured Ontario with Canadian plays for young audiences, with roots in Little People’s Players, established in 1971. One of Theatre On The Move's ventures was the Sunshine Company, which ran workshops geared towards children with disabilities. Clayton Bodine was the first artistic director. He wrote many of the original plays and adaptations performed by the company. In 1976, Jim Biros took over as artistic director; he was succeeded by Anne Hines in 1987. Financial difficulties caused the company to close in 1995.
