        History

        Charles Hoyt Watson completed Associate and Degree courses at the Ontario Agricultural College, attending from 1934 to 1939. He worked as fieldman for the Haldimand County Federation of Agriculture in 1946-1947 and 1949, and as fieldman and secretary for the Oxford County Federation of Agriculture from 1947 to 1948. By 1951, Watson worked for the Haldimand Farmers' Co-op, and in 1953 began working for the Ont. H.E.P.C. in Haldimand. From 1961 to 1978 he worked for the Livestock Division of the Production and Marketing Branch for the Canada Department of Agriculture.
